After a few weeks with no game, Lurgan Town travelled to face Ballyvea. The game began slowly with neither team creating chances and this continued for the first half, both teams going close from free kicks with Rhys Mccreanor and Ben Wells being unfortunate with good strikes. The defence mopped up any potential threat but the team struggled to get the ball down and play football. Corey Hylands was unlucky to have a goal ruled out for a very soft foul. HT 0-0
The second half began with a change of formation to try and get the breakthrough and it worked very well when Ben Wells played the ball through to Corey Hylands who finished superbly. The second came through Ben Wells who struck a fantastic volley into the far corner leaving the goalkeeper stranded. The final goal of the game came through Corey Hylands after Mccreanor played him through and Corey finished into the corner. FT 3-0
Despite the game not being up to the usual standard the lads have set. It’s always a positive to walk away with a win and a clean sheet. Corey Hylands worked hard throughout and got a couple of goals and Man of the Match went to Josh Wilson who was a rock at the back and stopped any potential Ballyvea attack.
