Today Lurgan Town celebrates the launch of our 2022-2024 home kit. The sleek new design by sportswear giants Uhlsport sees us move into our 7th season with the German outfitters alongside our retail partner The Gordon Group.
The shirt has a ‘raclan’ cut for perfect fitting and flexibility and features a new smart v-collar. It is also constructed from smartbreath lite technology with mesh inserts from recycled polyester fabric ensuring this shirt is ‘for the planet’.
Our club was formed in 1988 with local artist Billy Hussey designing the club badge. The ‘LT’ representing the club name alongside our club and the town colours of yellow, black and red. The white from the football usually forming the base of our away kits. Sitting proudly at the top is Master McGrath – a small and weak pup, who went on to become the most celebrated and successful dog of his time. Master McGrath was owned by Charles Brownlow, 2nd Baron of Lurgan and his resting place is in our small town.
Created by men of Lurgan for the children of Lurgan – this is our Town, our Club, our Life. We are true to our heritage in these changing modern times.
