U9s Win Magherafelt Globe

Magherafelt Tournament

The predators started off the day with a derby against Glenavon.. although they made the early running they found themselves losing the game.

The second game against Maiden City was one of those games that the lads did everything right but score.. hitting both posts and the defence making numerous last ditch tackles.

Game three seen a very tightly game contested against Ballymena United. Ballymena raced into a 3 goal lead before the predators started to turn it on. Fionn scored after an amazing through ball from Luke before Oscar set up a grand stand finish… unfortunately the lads again couldn’t get the third Over the line.

They entered the Globe competition and really started to show their qualities against Springfield Stars.. Noah B score straight from a corner.. Cameron scored a great goal after a mazy run before Oscar finished the game off. Zak in defence was a colossus.. his winning of the ball and from a header specifically set up Oscars goal.

That set up a final a physical Belfast Celtic team… the predators made the early running, Noah & Oscar coming close. Olly came in to the midfield and made some great last ditch challenges to keep the game 0-0 at the half.

Zac in goals keep the defence in shape before Cameron went on one of his runs… Fionn took a shot that was blocked… broke to Oscar before Noah B hammered in strike..

It was back to walls for the next 5 minutes with Belfast Celtic shooting from long range.. but Zac stood tall in Goals.

Noah B & Michael continued to make blocks in defence before the the referee blew his whistle.

Another tournament win for the predators picking up the Globe trophy.

All through the team everyone playing their part today, but by far Zak was the player of the tournament for the predators today.. the best football we have seen from him.

We go again next weekend at Craigavon City.
