Friendships Made With Hanover

On Saturday morning Lurgan Town U11 Lisburn League Squad travelled to play Hanover U11 Mid Ulster League team at Brownstown Park with a 10.30am kick off. Both teams had already played each other a few weeks ago at Lurgan Town Arena. Such a good relationship was struck up between the coaches and players that Hanover invited the team back to play another friendly.

The game finished 2-2. Jack Greene with the first and and injury time equaliser from Jack Metcalfe

Following the game Hanover treated all the players and coaches to breakfast. Our Lurgan Town coaches and players made a donation £75 to Hanover for their chosen charity for the season “Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice”.

William and Mark wish to thank Hanover for their hospitality, friendship and sportsmanship. We hope that this friendship continues through football.
