Lurgan Towns U15 girls entered 2 teams into the NIGSL Futsal Cup at the Rink Portadown on Saturday morning. Both teams played 5 group games with the “Roses” getting to the final and winning the Cup. The “Angels” finished 3rd overall.

Game 1 v Ambassadors Blues (Won 7-0 – Maeve x5, Jessica G, Amy)
Game 2 v TTBS (Won 3-0 – Maeve, Amy x2)
Game 3 v Portadown (Won 2-0 – Maeve x2)
Game 4 v Ambassadors Girls (Drew 0-0)
Game 5 v Lurgan Town Angels (Won 3-1 – Jessica G, Amy x2)
The Roses won 4 and drew 1 in the group the same as their final opponents Ambassadors Girls. It was a great final between the 2 teams with Ambassadors scoring first but the tournament’s top scorer Maeve equalised with 2 minutes left. The game went to extra time but no further goals so penalties had to settle the outcome. After 3 penalties each there was still know outcome so moving onto sudden death penalties Nicole scored for Lurgan then Jessica Pugh made a winning save for Lurgan Town Roses. Credit to Ambassadors Girls players as there wasn’t a lot between the 2 teams and they were very sporting in their defeat. Lurgan Town Roses Futsal Champions
