Battled Hard

Lurgan Town Under 14 Colts took on Tollymore in the Lisburn League at Wallace Park on Saturday 1st December. Jack O’Brien played Caolan Ritchie in early on but Caolan wasn’t able to make it count. Liam Campbell then played a beautiful ball inside the defender for Joey McDonald to run onto. Joey was fouled on the edge of the area but the free kick went against the wall. It was an even game in the first half with Lurgan creating the better chances. The score was 0-0 at half time. Tollymore took the lead in the second half with a long range free kick over the keeper.

Tollymore then scored a second when they pounced on a defensive mistake by Lurgan.
Lurgan didn’t convert their first half chances and struggled to make clear cut chances in the second half. It was a scrappy game for much of the match and finished 2-0 to Tullymore. However, overall Lurgan battled hard throughout, doing well against a team sitting second in the league before today’s game.
