U15s Rampant Against Craigavon

Town U15’s travelled to Craigavon City this week in search of another important 3 points, It took the boys a while to settle down being a bit untidy with the ball in the early parts of the game, Town did eventually get things together and Spencer young opened the scoring with a lovely placed ball over the top of the keeper and into the back of the net, not long after Ben Cullen doubled the lead with a great freekick just out to the left of the box which once hit just seemed to float into the top far corner, Jake Turner further added to the lead when he left his man on the left wing and slotted the ball from about 16 yards out with pace past the out coming keeper, Spencer Young followed the ball the whole way in to make sure there was no interference but left the ball to do all the work gifting his team mate all the glory. By this stage the Town boys were comfortable and continued to probe for more goals which weren’t long coming with Mackenzie Craig making it four and Spencer Young getting his brace just before half time.

Few changes made at half time with the introduction of Aidan Cassidy, James Maguire and Ronan Watkins, but it was Craigavon City who pulled a shock goal back early on and rejuvenated the City boys for a period but slowly Town grew back into the game with Ronan Watkins finishing well to make it six. Josh Johnston and Ethan Gorman got introduced into the game, and the front three began to link up well with Johnston, Watkins and Gorman unlucky on a number of occasions with the posts coming to the City rescue. Adam Vennard stretched the lead further when a great delivery was put towards the back post and Vennard rose above every one to direct his header downward beating the keeper and into the back of the net. Ronan Watkins rounded off the scoring when James Maguire released him on the left hand side and he finished cooly past the city keeper only for the referee to blow for offside.

Another Saturday and another good three points on the board, the boys went out with the right attitude and put the game out of sight as early as possible.
