The first 10 minutes of the MU13s v Moira game was played in the middle of the pitch with neither team taking control. Moira capitalised on the 10th minute as they broke through the Lurgan defence and scored the first goal. This shook Lurgan up and they started to put a few passes together. Lewis Briggs made a blistering run up the right wing and hit a shot just wide of the post. On the 16th minute Bobby Jack Hall hit a through ball to Codey Ferris and Codey made a perfectly timed run in behind the Moira defence. He was 1 on 1 with Moira’s goalkeeper and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 1-1. 2 minutes later Moira struck after some slack defending by Lurgan Town.
Again this pushed the Lurgan boys on as Lewis Briggs had 2 more runs up the wing. He was unlucky not to score but he kept his head up. On the 25th minute he made another run towards the Moira defence. This time his shot went flying past the keeper. 2-2 half time.
The first 10 minute of the second half where played equally in the middle of the pitch. Then Arnas Zalnieravicus made a run down the left wing and into the box. Arnas hit a shot low and hard into the corner of the net. The Moira keeper made a blunder – 3-2 to Lurgan. With a little reminder from the coaches to tighten up the defence Town listened and made it hard for Moira. Then on the 39th minute Arnas lobbed the ball over the defence and Stefan king cut through and onto the ball. His shot flew past the keeper. 4-2 to Lurgan.
As Town where still celebrating Moira scored. Lurgan tightened up the defence again and Moira found it hard to break them down. On the 58th minute man of the match Lewis Briggs made a brilliant run and shot past the Moira keeper. 5-3 Lurgan and game over.
