e U11s played and lost to a much older TTBS team on Friday night in their first match. In the second game the girls played well against a good Banbridge Town but lost however there were signs of improvement with Hannah Watts outstanding in goal, Lizzie Lawther and Tilly Douglas steady in defence and Grace Mackay, Jodie Gordon along with Evie Adams performing well in midfield.
The U13s played Banbridge Town on Saturday and picked up their 3rd win from 4 games as they won 5-1. The goals came from Alex McILwaine 2, Maeve McConaghy 2 and Amy Irwin. Lurgan played well throughout with Maeve, Alex, Katie Gilmore and Amy Irwin all linking up well in the attacking third. Defensively Chloe Stewart controlled the back line of Kaitlyn Irwin, Ellie Magill, Blathnaid Duffy and Ellie Beattie. In the centre of midfield Ellie McBride was her usual combative self along with good composure.
On Friday night the U15s lost out to Killen Rangers for the second time this season with a two nil defeat. However, the girls recovered for the second game as they defeated Mid Ulster 1-0 with the only goal coming from Alex McILwaine.
