Lurgan Town Lisburn League U13s played Lisburn Distillery at Ballymacoss on Saturday morning and came away with a 10-0 win to keep their 100% start to the season going.
The Town boys were in control from start to finish & scored with in 5 mins when Adhamh Towe finished well from a corner. That was to be the 1st of 2 goals for adhamh. Next to score was Jamie stringer when he finished well from a tight angle. Andrew Orr got the 1st of his 2 goals when Krisy Cassells put him through one on one with the keeper & he tucked it away in bottom right corner. Then Shea Murphy popped up with 2 goals in 5 mins to make the score 7-0 at half time.
The 2nd half was more of the same from the Town boys playing some nice passing football, with Diamuird Whitmarsh in nets & a back four of Luke Vennard, Conan Moore, Ethan Browne & captain Patryk Suchonski Town were giving the Distillery forwards no joy at all with their solid defending. It was soon 8-0 when Jamie Stokes got on the score sheet with a good finish from a rebound . It was 9 when Morgan Harrison’s superb pass down the left found Conan Moore in space & he made no mistake curling in a great shot from just inside the corner of the box.
The final goal came with 5 mins to go when a lovely through ball from Ciolan Richie found the unlucky Dylan Emerson who had already missed a pen & hit the post, but this time he finished well with his 1st time shot.
Special mention must go to Morgan Harrison & Ciolan Richie who helped us out today when we had 3 regulars boys missing. It’s great to have a good spirted bunch of lads within our U13s age group. Thanks again boys.
