Lurgan Town Mid Ulster U12s had a hard fought win over TTBS on Friday night under the lights in Tandragee. A small pitch restricted both teams from playing any sort of possession football. Lurgan Town took the lead after 10 minutes when Dean Bradbury fired home from a corner to score his 3rd in 2 games. Hard work over the past few months has seen Dean’s confidence grow and is turning out to be a key player for the team. Both teams had good chances and TTBS equalised just before the break.
After a talk at half time from the coaches Town lifted themselves to play a lot better in the 2nd half, they had a good few chances and restricted TTBS to the odd shot. They got rewarded with 10 minutes to go when Corey Nelson popped up between defenders to drive the ball home to grab a deserved lead. Hibble in goals was excellent during the game along with the defence and midfield battled well all game. Andrew Matthews deserves a bit of praise, since joining he has been a great target man up front, good skill, always looks to shoot and can hold the ball up well to bring other players into the game.
A wolid effort from all the squad today and man of the match was Corey Nelson who ran tirelessly all game and scored the winner.
Town: Hibble, Emerson, Crawford, Russell, Bradbury, Ward, McCavigan, Nelson, Matthews, Mallon, Barr.
