Great Attitude From MU12s

New Badge LargeLurgan Town Mid Ulster U12s went in to this game knowing Lisdrum had won 15-0 the previous week so it was always going to be a tough match. After a cagey first 10 minutes with both teams having great chances town should have taken the lead only for David Ward’s stunning left foot drive rattled the crossbar.

Lisdrum took the lead but soon after Dean Bradbury to outpace the defence to put Town level. Lisdrum got a sloppy second and minutes later Bradbury broke free again to make it level at just before the break. Lisdrum scored a well worked goal just before half time and added another before the whistle.

Lisdrum controlled the second half and got all the lucky breaks to run out comfortable winners in the end. Coach Ryan Nelson said after the game: This is going to be the toughest test we will face over the coming months as Lisdrum are a quality side who will surely win trophies this year”.

Both Town coaches are very proud of the boys attitude and commitment during a very difficult game. A great squad performance again and man of the match goes to Dean Bradbury for his brace.

Squad: Hibble, Barr (captain), Emerson, Russell, Ward, Nelson, Kennedy, Matthews, Crawford, Adamson, McCavigan, Bradbury.
