Lurgan Town U11 got life in the Lisburn League off to winning ways against Lisburn Distillery on Saturday morning.
Distillery got off to the better start when they scored a sweetly taken free kick which gave town keeper Luke Adair no chance. Town rallied after this and created numerous chances but just didn’t have that end product to get the equalising goal before half time.
In the 2nd half and a slight change in formation Town got the equaliser when Aidan Brady danced around a few defenders and finished with a fine strike into the bottom corner to level the game. With the Town boys well on top they got the winning goal when an in swinging corner from Tom Hawthorne was met by Alex Dillon to nod home.
This was a fantastic result to start off life in the lisburn league and a big thanks to all the parents who came along to support the boys. Man of the match Aidan Brady.
