Town faced Dungannon and were not looking to extend their two game losing streak. Last time the two sides met Town were the victors with a 7-2 victory in the league they were hoping for something of the same today.
Early doors and Town were getting most of the ball creating chances and one came to use as Lewis Kennedy scores from 30 yards out.
Town were pressing high and Dungannon were struggling, kicking the ball up the pitch at every oppurtunity. Town got a corner from the pressure. Lewis Kennedy whipped the ball in and yes you guessed it Josh Milne with the header straight into the bottom left corner just before half time.
The second half began and Town were doing more of the same just creating chances. Sean McNally and Joe McConville in defensive midfield were cleaning up nicely, they were solid the whole game. Also Ben Walsh, David McNally and Ethan Sands creating chances left, right and centre. Ethan Sands made his chances worth it with a finish to send Lurgan 3-0 up.
Lurgan Town wanted more goals so made some changes bringing Ryan Prunty on who scored within ten minutes of being on the pitch for his thirteenth of the season. Later on Ross McIlwaine another substitute scored from a well executed cross to make it 5-0 to the good.
Lurgan Town were settled passing the ball around making the opposition tired and this left space for Ryan Prunty to score his second of the game.
An overall good performance by Lurgan Town and hopefully this is the start of another unbeaten streak.
Man of the Match goes to Joshua Milne who scored a goal and kept a clean sheet. Credit to Rhys Lawlor for getting his first clean sheet in a few games.
