Playing in front of a good crowd at the arena the Mid Ulster U11 Predators took on Markethill. Town were dominant from the start and took the lead after 6 minutes when Corey Nelson scored a diving header from a Calum Emerson cross on the right. Markethill then equalised to make it 1-1. This seemed to lift Town with Dean Bradbury scoring and then Harry Leavsley scored a cracking low drive from the edge of the area to give Town the lead at half time.
In the second Markethill pulled one back Dean Bradbury scored a minute later to ease the pressure on Town. David Ward scored a penalty, then a cheeky left foot lob from Callum Emerson and the first goal of the season for Ben Cochrane sealed a great win for the boys.
The defenders Morgan Barr and Matthew Binks were excellent again but special mention goes to left back Joel Russell who was outstanding and won every ball he contested.
