Lurgan Town Ladies return next week with two big fixtures after the two week break. First up on Monday 4th July the ladies are away to Premier League side Mid Ulster in the 3rd round of the Irish Cup at the Mid Ulster Arena, Cookstown with a 730 kick off time. Then on Wednesday the girls travel to Killyleagh in match night 7 of their South 2 league campaign also with a 730 kick off.
Manager Davy Welshman said: “The girls are back in training this week after a good two week break in which a number of the girls took the chance to avail of a well earned holiday, we also picked up a few injuries against Portadown so the squad should be back and raring to go. We are now in the business end of the season and with good early form we sit clear at the top of the league which we hope to build on next week. Whilst the cup game will look after itself the league is our main priority this year and we head to Killyleagh full of confidence and hoping to leave with another three points. July will be another big month for the club with the quarter final of the Mid Ulster cup at home to Portadown and also the semi final of the league cup to be played”.
