We didn’t have long to wait for the second this time Tina Brush found the net on 17 mins. The away side where on the front foot with right back Lauren Thompson forging down the wing at every opportunity, the pressure paid off when on 37 mins Tina doubled her tally. The Ladies went in at half time with the score Dromara Village 0 Lurgan Town Ladies 4.

Two minutes into the second half and the first changes where made by the Lurgan management, Kerry Taggart and Lisa Goodman making way for Steph Potts and Sarah Taylor who was making her first appearance for Town. 56 minutes in and Steph scored the first of her two goals as the away team kept the home side on the back foot. Four minutes later and the away side where awarded a penalty which captain Tracy Orr stepped up and made the score 6-0. 65 minutes in and Louise Kelly replaced Caroline O’ Hare.. 8 minutes later on 68th minute and like the last game against Killyleagh Steph Potts left the best goal to last; this time firing her shot high into the corner of the net.. The last 22 minutes brought no further goals and the final whistle blew with the final score Dromara Village 0 Lurgan Town ladies 7.

Manager Davy Welshman commented” I thought the girls adapted to a hard bumpy pitch well tonight, they still got the ball down and played the type of football we practice every week in training.. With a few players missing it was also good to see Sarah Taylor make her first appearance for Town as well.. We have maintained our 100% start to the league and there is a hunger in the squad to succeed and desire to keep the run going as long as possible”

The win tonight takes the girls into second place a point behind PSNI but with a game less played..
