Hoping For Progress In Cup

Once again the Reserve team are in cup action this week when they travel to Castlecaulfield. Keith Lunn gave us his thoughts:

Eric and I are witnessing on a weekly basis the high standards expected at this club and the desire to win football matches. Similarly we believe the players are very much seeing the high standards we expect and demand at all times also. Whilst we won the game last weekend, we all walked away knowing the performance wasn’t good enough. Training has been brilliant this week especially on Tuesday night where we have been working on a very specific game plan for the weeks ahead and our subsequent return to the league.

Tomorrow brings another cup match, our third in a row and a tough trip away to Castlecaufield. I have never encountered our opponents personally, but I am reliably informed that it is a formidable away fixture and one that should never be taken lightly.
Whilst training has been good this week we have had two players who have played regularly for the reserves this season move on to pastures new. Eric and I would like to thank Jordan Dawson and Chris Burns for their dedication and professionalism over the last few months and wish them all the best with their new clubs.

Here is hoping for a return back to the arena tomorrow afternoon having progressed into the next round of the cup.
