Looking Forward To League Action

Following last week’s cup exit at the hands of Oxford, Town welcome Tullyvallen to the Arena in the league. Lee Dickson give us his thoughts ahead of the game:

It’s great to get back to league action tomorrow. Tullyvallen have been in great form as of late, unbeaten in the league with 3 wins from 3 and performing well in the cups against two top sides in Banbridge Rangers and Valley Rangers. 4 wins from 5 isn’t to be sniffed at, and is great at any level, so full credit to them.

We know they have made a few signings to strengthen their ranks and to be honest, I think all clubs within Intermediate B need it to keep the league competitive and keep in touch with Intermediate A. We have a couple of players returning this week, so it looks set to be a great game. In the past we haven’t travelled well to their place, but then again, the same can be said when it comes to Tullyvallen visiting ourselves.

Our boys need the win to keep in touch with the pack, so no better team to play at home than one of the early top two. The lads have trained well all week, and it’s been drummed into them that results in the league are needed and the response has been good when delivering that message. We look forward to it.

Town kick off at 2.15pm and once again if you cant make the game we will have score updates on our Twitter page @lurgantownfc
