Lessons To Be Learned

Match report Lurgan Town v Enzos U13

Lurgan were look to keep up their winning momentum as they took on Enzos this weekend. The young Town men knew it was going to be a tough task taking on a team full of quality from front to back.

The first half started in poor fashion with Lurgan conceding within the first few minutes of the match. Sadly, this set the tone for the first period as Town where unable to get on the front foot throughout the half and after some neat football and poor defending from Town, they found themselves further behind. Enzos to their credit kept up the pressure and played some nice football and found themselves going into the half break 5 goals to the good.

The Town players regrouped at half time and tried to play some of the attacking football that has produced some fantastic perfromances and results in recent weeks. The team battled hard in the second half to try and assert themselves on the game but again after some poor team play Enzos we able to add another two goals before the final whistle.

It was a tough day at the office for the boys but there are plenty of lessons to be learnt. Credit to Enzos, they played some great football but sadly Lurgan just didn’t show up on the day. Next weekend will provide a nice change as the boys can put their perfromance right as they take on TTBS in the cup.
