Not At The Races

Lurgan Town U15 Mid Ulster Team took on Dungannon youth at Lurgan Town Arena on Saturday 14 April.

The first 15 mins there wasn’t much between the two sides. The first chance of the match fell to Liam Campbell who was put through by James Green but dragged his shot wide of the post. Dungannon took the lead on the 23 min this came from a cross from the left hand side where all the Town defenders did not deal with cross and the number nine of Dungannon had a easy tap in. Dungannon made it 2-0 when they where awarded a penalty and made no mistake. Dungannon where playing some lovely football and deservedly made it 3 nil.

Town pulled one back just before half time another great goal from Ryan Lee Brown. This came from a free kick 25 yards out. Dungannon kept up the pressure in the second half with individual errors from Town gifted Dungannon 3 more goals.

Town kept trying and scored 2 more goals these came from Arron Buck and Callum Carson from the penalty spot. Dungannon were the better team today but the 8-3 score line does not reflect the game.

Collectively Lurgan where not at the races today and will look to bounce back next week and get back to winning ways.
