The game started with Lurgan passing the ball about with some lovely link up plays and it wasn’t long into the game when they were presented with the first opportunity. Codey Ferris hitting a low shot from just outside the box but just wizzing past the post. Lurgan kept probing, but the Loughgall defence held strong. Lurgan kept passing the ball about with great accuracy finding wee pockets to run in behind the Loughgall defence and could have had a couple by half time only for the Loughgall keeper being alert to the danger. The first half ended 0-0.

The second half started and Town withstood a bit of pressure from the Loughgall forward line. Lurgan’s defence which consisted of Mohammed, Noah, Aiden and Eoin where aware of the dangers and where in excellent form throughout the match. They restricted Loughgall to a couple of shots from outside the box not troubling Kacper in the Town goal. Lurgan made a couple of changes bringing in Aronas for Matthew who played out of position today and had an outstanding effect on the game.

Ryan Matthews was instrumental in Lurgan’s first goal laying a beautiful weighted pass to find Codey Ferris in the box and he slotted it into the net. Lurgan 1-0 up on the 50th minute. Lurgan didn’t settle for one and kept probing the Loughgall defence and where soon rewarded. Aronas made a blistering run into the box in the 52nd min and hitting a hard shot low to the keeper right. 2-0 to Lurgan. Ryan Matthews was soon in on the goals with a thunderbolt of a shot on the 53rd min from 25 yards giving the keeper no chance. Lurgan where enjoying the game and had some lovely link up play. Loughgall couldn’t handle Lurgan and on the 68th min Gracyan wrapped it up with his first goal for the club. Well done boys a well deserved win
