MU13s End On A High

Lurgan Town MU13s took on Moira in their final game of the season. The match started with Lurgan bossing the game for the first 15 mins. Only for the final ball Lurgan could have been a couple of goals up. On the 16th min Lurgan were awarded their first proper chance as Arnas was brought down in the penalty box. Codey Ferris stepped up but the keeper made a great save.

It was starting to feel like it wasn’t going to be Lurgan’s day and on the 27th min Moira broke free and from their first attack of the match scored. Lurgan soon got their reward for all the dominance on the 28th min. The ball was hit into the box and bounced about only to land at Levi Robinson’s feet who smashed it over the diving keeper to level the score. The rest of the half was a scrappy game with the Moira side taking advantage.

The second half was played out like the end of the first. So a decision by both coaches to push Levi up front for the last 10 min played dividends as he scored on the 55th min. 2-1 to Lurgan Town. Lurgan tightened up and saw out the win. It was a great game for the boys to end the season. They have had a smashing season.
