U12s Win In League Cup

under-12-mid-ulster-4Lurgan Town Mid-Ulster U12’s traveled to Tandragee Leisure Centre to play against Markethill Swifts U12’s in the League Cup on Saturday morning 3 December 2016. Lurgan started the brightest with Adam Banks hitting the post with a long ranch effort. It did not take long for Banks to get his first goal. He lashed on to a through ball from Daniel Graham to calmly placing it past the keeper.
The Town kept up the pressure with a number of consecutive corners. The second goal did not take long coming good work from Harry Smith down the right hand side drove a low cross for Liam Campbell which was deflected past the Markethill keeper for a own goal.
With 2-0 up at half time Lurgan ring the changes with Luke Carson and Tyler Bradley coming on. It did not take long till Carson got in on the action. With a great corner from Campbell Luke Carson nipped in to score.Tyler Bradley soon got on the score sheet with good one touch football with Daniel Graham he cut in from the left hand side and slotted a low shot passed the keeper.
Daniel Graham came close with a long range effort which rattled the cross bar. On the 38 min Lurgan’s 4 goal came from Daniel who cut in from the left side and drove an unstoppable shot into the top right hand corner nothing more than he deserved.
In the final minutes of the game Town conceded late goal and added another 2 goals from Adam Banks and Tyler Bradley.  There was a number of outstanding performances from Morgan Harrision, Joey McDondald, Ben Hendron, James Wreight, Liam Campbell but this week man of the match was Daniel Graham. After the disappointing result last week the all the guys worked really hard for deserved the 7-1 victory.
