Town On Top v Predators

under-12-mid-ulster-3

Lurgan Town Mid-Ulster U12’s took on Lurgan Predators in the League Cup at the Lurgan Town Arena on Saturday morning, 12th November 2016. The under 12’s opened the scoring when Daniel Graham hit a well placed shot from 10 yards high to the keeper’s left. A second goal quickly followed when Joey McDonald hit another well placed shot, this time into the bottom left corner. Lurgan scored a third when Adam Banks ran onto a through ball and scored with a cool finish past the keeper. Liam Campbell was crossing the ball brilliantly, including the corners from the left hand side and Toby Haire pounced on one of them to score another.  The under 12’s scored again when Joey McDonald slotted past the keeper with a good finish for his second goal of the game.

In the second half, Tyler Bradley nutmegged the keeper after good work by Harry Smith and Ben Hendron scored from close range after the keeper had saved an effort by Harry Smith. The Town Predators team is a relatively new team and they deserve a lot of credit.  Despite the Under 12’s being definitely the stronger team, the Predators fought hard and kept going until the end. Liam Campbell was the standout player for the under 12’s, making a lot of good runs on the left wing and hitting numerous dangerous crosses throughout the game.  On another day he could have had a large bunch of assists. That’s 3 wins in a row for the Mid Ulster under 12’s. Keep it going guys!
