Moira Too Strong For Under 12s

under-12-mid-ulster-2Lurgan Town’s U12 team took on Moira at Annagh United’s ground. They were not at their best and Moira took an early lead with a scrappy goal. Moira were the better team in the first half and Lurgan struggled to gain and keep possession.

The second half was much more even between the teams, with an improved display by Lurgan and some of the substitutes improving the team’s performance.  However, Moira shocked Lurgan and made it 2-0 with a brilliant long range strike that gave Jack Brannigan little chance.

Despite a better performance in the second half, Lurgan were unable to create many chances.  Their best effort was an excellent header by substitute Harry Smithe  but unfortunately his header struck the bar and went over.

Most of Lurgan’s defenders had a good game. Morgan Harrison, coming on as a substitute, really impressed with his approach.
